Day 01: Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla (2,652m.) about 50 minutes then walk to Phakding (2652m.) about 3 hrs. The trail descends steadily through the bank of Dudh Koshi River , Sherpa villages and Mani stones and reaches to Phakding.
Day 02: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3446m.): – After breakfast start the trekking following the trail ascending gradually towards Jorsale crossing the suspension bridges over Dud Koshi river and get the entrance gate on National Park. After wards crossing three more bridge the trail ascends through the Alpine and Rhododendron jungle. It my be possible to see the Dears, Blue Ship on the way and the trail ends at Namche Bazaar, the highest Sherpa market in the world.
Day 03: Rest day at Namche Bazaar for acclimatization and excursions.
Day 04: Namche Bazaar to Thyangboche (3867m.): After breakfast the trekking starts forThyangboche, it is one hour walk to cross the plain grass field and descend to Dudh Koshi river then reaches to Phunki thenga for lunch. After lunch the train steeply ascends toward Thyangboche through the same type of jungle watching different kinds of birds, animals and beautiful views of Numbur (6959m.)
Day 05: Rest day at Thyangboche: This the day to view the mountains such as mount Everest (8,848m.), Lhotse (8,516m.), Lhotse Shar (8,383m), Nuptse (7,879m), Ama Dablam (6,856m.), Kang Tenga (6,685m.), Thamserku (6,608m.), Kwangde (6,187m), Choloste (6,440m.), Tawoche (6,542m.), Numbur (6,959m.), Kahantang (6,853m.) and look around the Monastery which is built at the highest place in the world.
Day 06: After a peaceful morning at Tyangboche Monastery, the journey to Namche Bazaar begins with a steep descent through rhododendron forests and pine trees. The trail drops down to the Dudh Koshi River, crossing a suspension bridge near Phunki Tenga. From here, it’s a gradual uphill climb through shaded forest trails, passing small settlements and occasional prayer wheels. Along the way, trekkers are treated to final glimpses of Ama Dablam, Everest, and Lhotse. The trail winds through winding paths and brings you back into the bustling heart of the Khumbu region — Namche Bazaar. As you re-enter the town, the vibrant energy of shops, bakeries, and trekking lodges welcomes you. After days in higher altitudes, the comfort and relatively lower elevation of Namche provide a perfect place to rest, refresh, and reflect on the remarkable experiences of the Everest region before continuing the descent toward Lukla.
Day 07: The trek from Namche Bazaar to Phakding is a pleasant downhill journey that retraces the route taken during the ascent. After breakfast, the trail descends steeply along a rocky path, passing through pine forests and enjoying scenic views of the Dudh Koshi River. Along the way, trekkers cross several suspension bridges, including the iconic Hillary Bridge. You’ll pass through small Sherpa villages like Monjo and Jorsale, where trekkers check out from the Sagarmatha National Park. The path continues through lush forested trails and follows the riverbank, offering chances to spot Himalayan birds and mountain goats. As you approach Phakding, the air feels warmer and more humid, signaling your descent to a lower altitude. Upon arrival, you can relax in a teahouse by the riverside, enjoying the peaceful sounds of the flowing Dudh Koshi. The day offers a relaxing break before the final stretch to Lukla.
Day 08:
The final trekking day from Phakding to Lukla is a short yet meaningful journey, filled with reflection and appreciation of the Himalayas. The trail follows the Dudh Koshi River upstream, passing through several traditional Sherpa villages like Ghat, Thado Koshi, and Chheplung. Though the route is mostly a gentle ascent, the trail can feel more challenging due to accumulated fatigue. Lush pine forests, mani stones, and fluttering prayer flags accompany you along the way. After crossing a few suspension bridges and passing scenic spots, a gradual uphill walk leads you to Lukla. Upon arrival, you can relax, explore the small town, or celebrate the completion of the trek with your team. It’s a time to reflect on the incredible journey through the Khumbu region and prepare for your flight back to Kathmandu. This final day marks the end of an unforgettable adventure in the heart of the Everest Himalayas
Day 09: The flight from Lukla to Kathmandu is a short yet thrilling journey that offers stunning aerial views of the Himalayan landscape. After an early breakfast, you’ll head to Tenzing-Hillary Airport, known for its dramatic location and short runway. Weather permitting, the 30–35-minute flight takes you over terraced hillsides, deep valleys, and distant snow-capped peaks. As the aircraft approaches Kathmandu, the scenery transitions from rugged mountains to the bustling cityscape. Upon landing at Tribhuvan International Airport, you’ll be transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to relax, enjoy a hot shower, explore the city, or shop for souvenirs. After days of adventure in the mountains, returning to Kathmandu’s comfort and culture offers a welcome change. It’s also a perfect time to reconnect with civilization, share your experiences, and celebrate the successful completion of your Everest region trek.
